We've built the world's first comprehensive ATV Search Engine based on Google's Coop Search technology

We have a long way to go, but you can already make use of a search engine all about ATVs and Side-by-Sides as of today. And QuadSearches.com will be a key site in our media network for two reasons. First, because of how important search has become to daily life, but secondly because the whole model of typing words and questions into a box and getting what we need back is getting harder everyday on the major search engines as the Internet is filling with more and more SPAM and less valuable stuff. Okay, so how does our search engine work...

1. Start with the best from Google

Google has built an incredible map of the web using advanced algorithms for processing page content and the link structure of the web. So we start there, selecting only the choicest ATV sites, and individual pages where necessary, for further processing.

2. Add a little Yahoo flavoring

Yahoo’s original claim to fame was applying human intelligence to the findability problem on the web. Likewise QuadSearches.com requires expert reviews of any content included in the search index. We look for the most relevant, current and authoritative sources in adding our own layer of filters and scoring. This gives us the best of what Yahoo had to offer with the power of Google's smart algorithms, except that instead of a relative handful of Yahoos covering the practically infinite web, you have individual subject matter experts doing this work for only the ATV and side-by-side domain.

3. Shaken, not stirred

Search results are determined exclusively by a person's query and the quality and relevancy of content in our database. QuadSearches.com does not sell positions in search results.

Search ads can be included
alongside the natural results in the same way as major search engines do (sometimes called sponsored links). Over time, we hope to make them just as useful as everything else! The program automatically matches the best possible advertisements with the content on the pages, making the ads magically quite relevant to your searches.

4. Serve refined results

Once you taste the results, you'll see we offer refinements to skim the fat off the results still further. Our current groupings can separate standard web sites, forums and message boards, and pure shopping sites. Depending on the search term, you may also see special links and functionality on top of the results offering very specific information and help directly.

Our secret ingredients: like the big search engines we won't reveal exactly how sites are scored and ranked for a lot of reasons. But in general, our inclusion criteria and special spices are based on uniqueness, activity, credibility, quality of experience and contribution to the industry and sport. Sites that only aggregate or duplicate material, with mostly outdated content and broken links, or have only minimal quad content are either eliminated or penalized. QuadSearches.com is also aggressive at filtering out inappropriate or objectionable content for a general audience, completely at our sole discretion. You may get fewer hits, but the ones you do get are the ones you need. Which is what you want from search, right?
